This bunker is in what is now the middle of Hoi An but I would guess, during the war it probably would have been on the fringe of the town to the east of the top end of the old historic part of Hoi An.
By its appearance I would imagine it may well have been built by US forces, the top section of it anyway...the bottom is constructed of stone so it may well be the remains of something the French might have built once. Anyone remember this ?
